I fell in love with performing at a very young age. I enjoyed the thrill you get on the stage, the chance to be someone you’re not, plus dressing up in fun costumes is always a blast. But it wasn’t these things that kept me going in theatre, and it wasn’t these things that put me on the path to becoming a theatre teacher. What kept me going was my middle school drama teacher, who taught me that drama was made for everyone.

I graduated cum laude from Linfield University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and a minor in health education. During my time at Linfield, I acted, choreographed, danced, directed and produced videos. I also learned new skills within the realm of theatre by taking classes in stagecraft, costume, makeup and lighting design, and stage management.

After graduating, I relocated to the Big Apple (NYC)! Over the last two years, I worked within the world of the performing arts as an administrator and teaching artist for youth dance and theatre programs.

In January 2023, I returned to school to pursue my Master's in Educational Theatre with All Grades Certification at NYU. Through this program I have furthered my knowledge of teaching and learning in drama through various classes and field work in student teaching.

I started as a performer when I was enrolled in dance at four-years-old. At the age of 12, I acted in my first musical, and from there I fell even more in love with the performing arts. At the age of 14, I choreographed my first musical at my home middle school, which is where I began my journey with choreography. In high school, I became a part of our thespian troupe and was an honor member.

When I was a sophomore at Linfield, I decided to pursue the theatre arts major in hopes to someday work for a theatre or dance company and continue doing what I love. During the 2020-21 school year, I taught musical theatre at Allegro Dance Studio in Canby, OR for elementary, middle, and high school students, and in Spring 2021 I choreographed "We Will Rock You" the musical at Canby High School.

Previously, I worked as a teaching artist for WR Arts and Treasure Trunk Theatre; both Brooklyn-based Youth Performing Arts companies. I love sharing my knowledge and love for this art form to the future generation.
