Teaching Experience
I grew up taking dance classes and participating in theatre which taught me the importance of collaborating with other artists. Throughout my years as a student, I performed, worked on costume and makeup crews, choreographed, and worked backstage for many productions. I chose to study theater in college and since graduating, I worked as a teaching artist for dance and musical theatre with PreK-12 students in after school programming, classes, and summer camps. In addition, I also worked various administrative roles in performing arts educational settings which allows me to engage in skills such as communication, collaboration and organization.
From all my experience within the performing arts and education, I made the decision to pursue my Master’s degree in Educational Theatre with All Grades Initial Certification at NYU. Through all these experiences I expanded my knowledge as an educator, including lesson planning, teaching methods, and working with a diverse range of students.
